go on, ask us... why should you choose dogcity for your dog?

recently we've seen a shift in thinking when it comes to what we want and expect from our dogs. a far cry from the 'outside only' dogs of the past, today's dogs are integral members of our family who join us on holidays, trips to the beach, long walks and for smashed avocado on the weekend. we prioritise well SOCIALISED pups, who make perfect coffee dates and couch companions... and that's where we come in. more than just a dog daycare, dogcity is passionate about creating a society rich in great, well-adjusted and social canine-citizens!

play

Just like in humans, recreation is an essential part of raising a well-rounded, healthy and happy dog! Aside from the obvious physical benefits, play is an essential way for dogs to exercise their mind, practise communication and release energy... and let's face it, who doesn't love spending the day hanging out with a bunch of playful friends!?!

socialisation

Being able to take your dog to a park, beach, friend's house or café, is one of the many joys of dog ownership, and this is only possible when your dog understands and enjoys social interactions. Socialisation is an essential lesson for all of our pooches. Learning how to play and interact with other dogs of all shapes and sizes, as well as our trained Pack Leaders is a skill that your furry friend will carry out of our doggy door and into yours.

enrichment

In order to be well-adjusted pets, dogs need both mental and physical stimulation on a daily basis. Playing with friends is a great way to encourage dogs to exercise. Rigorous exercise will release endorphins which will have an overall calming effect on your dog’s behaviour, as well as many other happy health benefits. Don’t forget mental stimulation - Playing with friends encourages dogs to use their brains to find new ways of initiating play, joining in games, as well as communicating and being part of a group environment.

tired dogs don't bark

What’s that sound? There isn’t one, because tired dogs rarely bark. After a fun-filled, enriching day of socialisation and play you can rest assured that your best friend will come home one tired pup. Dogs who experience exercise, enrichment, socialisation and mental stimulation at Dogcity on a regular basis are more relaxed in their home environment, and make for really great, quiet neighbours.

Alleviating the blues

Providing an outlet for play, exercise, stimulation and generally time to just be a dog means that life at home may become a whole lot easier. Barking, digging, chewing, destructive behaviour and other symptoms of boredom can be significantly reduced, and your dog will be happier just to rest quietly with the family after a happy day at daycare!

It's fun!!

Just like us, our dogs want to have fun. Hanging out with friends, playing games, chasing balls, fetching, jumping, rolling, play bowing and just being dogs is a fundamental part of having happy, content, well-balanced dogs.

We love getting out and about, so why wouldn't our furry friends!?!
